The Earth Observation Handbook 1992 Edition

The CEOS Earth Observation Handbook presents the main capabilities of satellite Earth observations, their applications and a systematic overview of present and planned CEOS agency Earth observation satellite missions and their instruments.

The first edition of the CEOS Earth Observation Handbook, prepared by the British National Space Centre in 1992, sets out the existing and planned EO satellite missions for the following 15 years and states the collaboration and committment made to achieve a global observing system for the environment. This handbook was prepared in line with the UNCED Conference Rio de Janeiro 1992, and represents the first attempt to present existing and future programmes in a unified way.
